Trunk R Treat

This is the largest outreach event for GracePoint Church each year with over 800 attenders and 100 volunteers. This event takes a great deal of planning and coordination as details must come together in a three hour time span from bounce house installation, food prep, performances from local volunteer groups, decorations, local fire & police involvement, volunteers setting up trunks, giveaways, signage, parking barricades and more.

Each year we improve this event using the Lessons Learned documentation from the previous year and new ideas from current volunteers. In 2018, we decided to theme Trunk R Treat using a Carnival Theme. This worked so well and gave the Trunk hosts more ideas and guidance helping them to not stress over decorations or having multiple trunks with the same theme. It also allowed for fun community games like Bingo and raffle so that we could better connect with those who came. We used the raffle entries as a means to follow up and invite those who came to Sunday services and future kids events. Several families did come visit the church for Sunday services.

We were approved as a 501(c)3 in October 2017. Since then I have overseen many projects for the orchestra as Treasurer and now President. As President, I help manage and oversee the Music Director and Board.
